Embeds
An embed turns a link into the thing itself: a video you can play, a post you can read, a track you can listen to, right inside the note.
This page is also available as plain Markdown at /docs/embeds.md.
Writing one
Put the link inside ::embed[…], on a line of its own:
::embed[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ]
For an embed in the middle of a sentence, use a single colon: :embed[https://…].
A bare link is not embedded. It stays a link. That is on purpose: a note full of links to read later should not turn into a wall of players.
You rarely type this yourself. The Clipper (the Chrome extension and the iOS share sheet) writes the embed when you save a video or a post, and an assistant working through the MCP does the same.

When a link is not supported
Nothing breaks. A link from a source that is not on the list, or one the source refuses to embed (a private video, a deleted post), is shown as an ordinary link to the page.
Embeds and html blocks
An html block cannot load anything from the internet, so it cannot embed a video or a post itself. Put the embed in the note's markdown, next to the block, and let the block do the drawing.
