Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Potion ("Potion", "we", "us") is a note and bookmark app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Potion web app, iOS app, and browser extension.
What we collect
- Account information — when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture to create and identify your account.
- Your content — the notes, tags, views, workspaces, and images you create or upload. This is stored so we can show it back to you across your devices.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep a Stripe customer/subscription reference and your plan status.
- Technical data — basic logs (e.g. request timestamps, error diagnostics) needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
To provide and sync the service, authenticate you, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run Potion: Google and Apple (sign-in), Stripe (payments), and our hosting/infrastructure providers. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and all of its content at any time — in the web app under Settings → Delete account, or in the iOS app under Profile → Delete Account. Deletion removes your notes, views, tags, images, and workspaces and cancels any active subscription. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
Security & retention
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data and retain it only while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
Children
Potion is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Questions or requests: [email protected].
