# Potion

> A markdown note app for people and their AI agents: notes, tags, properties, links, views, layouts, records, files, and an MCP server any assistant can use. Every workspace is isolated.

Potion is used from a web app, an iOS app, a Chrome extension and an MCP server. The docs
below are the same on every surface. Each docs page has a Markdown twin at its URL plus `.md`.

## Docs

- [Concepts](https://potion.run/docs/concepts.md): Workspaces, notes, links, tags, properties, views, presets, layouts, the graph — what each is and how they fit.
- [Embeds](https://potion.run/docs/embeds.md): Turn a link into a video, a post or a track inside a note, and every source that works.
- [Filters and views](https://potion.run/docs/filters.md): The filter tree every view, the graph and html blocks share: conditions, groups, dates, sorting and display.
- [Graph](https://potion.run/docs/graph.md): Your notes as a map of their connections: reading it, choosing what it shows, saving a way of looking.
- [AI](https://potion.run/docs/ai.md): Talk and AI search on your own OpenRouter account: what you can ask, the changes you approve, what stays private.
- [The MCP](https://potion.run/docs/mcp.md): Connect any AI assistant that speaks MCP to Potion, and every tool it can use.
- [The API](https://potion.run/docs/api.md): Read and write a workspace from your own scripts: API keys, notes, records and filters.
- [Webhooks](https://potion.run/docs/webhooks.md): Let another system know when a record changes: subscribe a URL, verify what arrives, write back.
- [Block libraries](https://potion.run/docs/libraries.md): Every library an html block can load with potion:use, and when to reach for it.
- [Block Data API](https://potion.run/docs/block-data-api.md): Read the workspace from an html block: filters, sorting, paging, counts and sharing.

## Connect

- [The MCP](https://potion.run/docs/mcp.md): server URL `https://mcp.potion.run` (Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in), every tool by area, and how to add it to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Zed or any MCP client.
- [The API (OpenAPI 3.1)](https://potion.run/openapi.json): every endpoint of the HTTP API for your own code, with a key from Settings → API keys. Guide: https://potion.run/docs/api.md.
- Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http potion https://mcp.potion.run`, or install the Potion plugin from the marketplace at the repo root, which bundles the server with the `potion` and `potion-blocks` skills.

## Optional

- [Everything in one file](https://potion.run/llms-full.txt): every docs section concatenated.
- [Library catalog (JSON)](https://potion.run/api/vendor): the libraries an html block may load, with sandbox notes.
